| The Master course lasts 13 months and includes a number of important educational activities. Internships last two weeks covering in logical sequence the whole cycle of the textile and clothing industry: combing, dyeing, spinning, designing. weaving, finishing, cutting and sewing, knitting and final distribution of the finished products. At the end of each internship even' student prepares a report which has to be discussed with the Tutor in order to verify the level of acquired knowledge. The "stages" take place in those companies which support the Master, both in Italy and abroad. The international experience is particularly important and destinations in Australia, Europe, China, USA and Japan. At the end of the educational programme, students carry out a field project, that is a supporting activity for the sponsors companies for a duration of about two months, during which they co-operate to project development, situation analysis and research. The scholarship students also have the opportunity to improve their linguistic skills which will be useful for their future careers. In particular, while cooperating with the Australian growers , they learn about the early stages of the textile production cycle : sheep breeding and shearing, the selection and sale of the wools at auction. The final internship at the headquarters of the most prestigious American and Japanese department stores will help the students to understand the criteria of choice and marketing of high quality clothing distribution in the United States and Japan. |
